The Groom

I was born Andrew Michael Davis in Canton, Ohio
on March 20th, 1977. I am the oldest of three children and the first
grandchild on my mother's side of the family. In fact, I was one of
the five generations alive at one time for the first two weeks of my life.
Shortly after I was born, my parents decided to move north to
Cuyahoga Falls on December 15th, 1978.

During the years that we lived
on 9th Street in the Falls, my parents had two daughters, Jennifer and Amy,
and I finished elementary school. What I remember most about the Falls is
all of the neighborhood gatherings that took place on a semi-weekly
basis during the summers and all of the forts my friends and I built, evenduring the winter! Then, in the middle of my first year at Bolich Middle
School, my parents decided to move to Stow. The move took place on
December 15th, 1988, exactly ten years to the day that we moved into
the house in the Falls. Most of the memories that I have of the years
between moving to Stow and graduating from Stow High School are filled
with playing basketball any time it was possible and working at the local
grocery stores.
After high school, I decided to spend the next seven years of my life
attending Kent State University. It took me five years to finish two
undergraduate degrees, and the final two were spent in the Computer
Science graduate program at Kent. While I was finishing my second
undergraduate degree, I decided to start my own business,
Coldfire Studios, with several
of my friends that I met in college, which we are still running
during the evenings and weekends.
I am currently working for the University of Akron.
I spend what little free time I am fortunate to have with Lisa,
with my college friends, or working on the new house.
